What Are the Different Types of Mazda CX 5

The 2023 Mazda CX-5 is no different, with eight trims to choose from and plenty of customizable features to add your own personal touch. 2.5 S

The base edition of the Mazda CX-5 comes with a SkyActiv-G 2.5 Liter engine that has 186 lb-ft of torque. This engine also produces 187 horsepower while having an astounding fuel economy of 24 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. Each CX-5 has standard i-Activ All-wheel drive, as well as blind spot monitoring, radar cruise control, and Apple Carplay/Android Auto integration.

    SELECT

    The Select trim mostly comes with more aesthetic options for the CX-5 exterior. With several more color variations available and rear privacy glass on the back window, the Select is even more customizable than the 2.5 S version. It also features dual-zone automatic climate control with pollen filters and rear A/C vents to keep every passenger comfortable. There are even silk beige leatherette and black leatherette options for interior upholstery, as opposed to the black cloth that the base model comes with.

      Preferred

      The Preferred builds off of the Select trim, with technological advances such as an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. For a wonderful view of the stars, the Preferred comes with a power sliding glass moonroof that only requires one button to operate, and is equipped with an interior sunshade. The interior upholstery comes in either black or parchment color leather. 

        Carbon Edition

        The CX-5 Carbon Edition is a special version of the Preferred, with exclusive Polymetal Gray paint, black grill and side mirrors, and 19-inch black aluminum alloy wheels. The stylish interior trims are all black, and the interior colors come in either red or black leather. 

        The Premium trim is equipped with sport and off-road driving modes, adding a lot of mobility and performance to the already stellar vehicle. Paddle shifters on the steering wheel allow you to take manual control and provide a deeper connection to the vehicle. A 7-inch LCD meter display adds some finishing touches to the dashboard.

            Premium Plus

            A rear power liftgate with programmable height adjustment adds to the ease of use of the Premium Plus trim along with windshield wiper de-icer and automatic power folding side mirrors. Heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel all make the Premium Plus a truly luxurious environment for driving.

              Turbo

              Switching out the previous engine for a SkyActiv-G 2.5 Liter with Dynamic Pressure Turbo, the Turbo edition has 320 lb-ft of torque. The fuel efficiency does drop to 22 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, but for those looking for a more powerful engine, this is your trim. Another bonus is the inclusion of a wireless phone charger in the console, which is perfect for charging on the go.

                Turbo Signature

                The 2.5 Turbo Signature is the pinnacle of Mazda engineering in the CX-5. This advanced version of the Turbo comes with LED illumination throughout the interior, genuine layered wood trim, and sports the signature badge. It also includes three years of Sirius XM Travel and Traffic subscription and Mazda Navigation. The windshield projected active driving display and traffic sign recognition system make your drive as intuitive as possible.
