Assembling Your Automotive tools
The first two items you will want is a car jack and a wrench set so that you are able to replace tires on the go. A blown tire can really put a dent in your plans, whether you are running errands or journeying cross-country. Learning how to change a tire is pretty simple, with plenty of tutorials available online, and this skill can get you out of a sticky situation.
The set of wrenches should include a torque wrench and socket set so that you can fit multiple different-sized nuts and bolts. Impact wrenches and breaker bars are also highly recommended, and you will be able to replace most car parts with these tools should the need arise.
A spare car battery is never a bad idea to include in your kit, but a battery tester can be even more useful. This small electronic device will inform you of your battery’s current health, and you will be able to tell when it is time to replace the brick.
Another simple thing to add to your kit is a set of funnels and a drain pan so that you don’t make a mess when changing your oil or other fluids. Nothing is worse than trying to top off your fluids and spilling liquid all over your garage or driveway.
